Hot water tank system with a cylinder and boiler in the kitchen

Anonymous user 17/03/2024 - 2.30 PM

Hi I purchased a property 6 years ago with a hot water tank system, and a worcester boiler. All working fine however my hot water tap in tbe bathroom sink never has any hot water (i have managed to live with this) the boiler is in the kitchen. The tank and cylinder in the airkng cupboard in the bathroom. Recently i decided to do a boiler upgrade to a combi boiler and have received herrondously huge quotes. After getting 3 quotes, British gas came out and said that the water pressure is too low from my cold water tap and it is shared with a neighbour (not 1 engineer had previously checked this or mentioned it before quoting me) they said that my current shower which works from a pump will get no pressure at all if i installed a combi boiler- i would like a combi boiler or something that will upgrade my current system as when i have family over my shower goes cold after 15minutes (assuming to the hot water cylinder being too small) can anyone suggest the best solution to getting this system upgraded. My house is very old and my main water supply is a shared supply with my neighbour. Thank you

Boost pump for incoming main water .if combi is not an option. Then a bigger hot water tank. Supply of hot water to bathroom might be an air lock
