Which trade: Garage insulation + strengthen joists
Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.52 PM
I previously had my flat garage roof converted to a pitched roof. I want the garage insulating now along with getting the old joists further strengthened as I want to use this storage space. Only one of the existing roof joists was stregthened using a length of timber when the pitched roof was done. Which trade would do this as I'd rather avoid having to use multiple trades. (MyBuilder made me select a trade to post this question.) Thanks.

To strengthen the joists use the same size timber full width and use bolts every 600mm ,I would then use celatex x 50mm and cut to fit in-between the joists and then fix osb boards or buy loft tounge and groove boards for you to store anything you want there ok
