Finding doors in non-standard sizes can be challenging, but there are several options you can explore to address this issue: Custom Door Manufacturers: Consider contacting a local or online custom door manufacturer. They can create doors to your exact specifications, including the size, material, and design you desire. While custom doors can be more expensive, they are an excellent option for unique or hard-to-find sizes. Local Door Retailers: Visit or contact local door retailers and lumberyards. Sometimes, they may have access to doors that aren't listed in their standard inventory. You can inquire about special orders or custom sizing. Online Retailers: Many online door retailers offer a wide range of door sizes, including non-standard ones. Websites like Home Depot, Lowe's, and Wayfair often have a variety of door options. You can use their search filters to narrow down the size and style that you need. Door Inserts or Extenders: If you have a standard-sized door frame, you can consider using door inserts or extenders. These are panels that can be attached to the top or bottom of a standard-sized door to make it fit your non-standard opening. They can be a cost-effective solution. Local Carpentry or Handyman Services: Consult with local carpenters or handymen who may be able to trim down a standard-sized door to fit your non-standard door frame. However, this option may not be feasible for all door materials and styles. Auction or Salvage Yards: Check out architectural salvage yards, auctions, or demolition sales. You might find vintage or reclaimed doors that can be trimmed down to fit your opening. Home Improvement Stores: Some home improvement stores offer in-store cutting services. You may find a door that is slightly larger than your opening and have it cut to your required dimensions. Modify the Door Frame: As a last resort, you can consider adjusting the door frame to accommodate a standard-sized door. This would involve altering the frame's size, which may require professional help. When searching for doors, be sure to measure your door frame accurately, including its width, height, and thickness, to ensure a proper fit. Additionally, check local building codes and regulations to ensure any modifications or installations comply with safety and legal requirements.
