Internal damp spots potentially caused by roof issue?
Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.36 PM
Bathroom has a slow but progressive damp issue that I think may be related to a problem higher up. I've checked internally and there's no leaks anywhere, the room is plenty ventilated and the usual signs of that being the cause aren't there. I'm wondering if there's a chance that a problem on the roof could allow water to be getting in behind the internal walls as the mould spots all seem to be either on the ceiling right up against the external wall or on the wall itself towards the top. Is there any way to check this internally? Given the time of year I understand its purely a gamble on any given day for roof access to be possible due to weather. Just trying to understand the situation a bit more/confirm I'm looking for the right trade to investigate the issues.
