Using Integrated appliance as freestanding

I can’t see any reason why you cant use integrated appliances except for the dishwasher , this needs the weight of an attached door in order for the door to stay down when loading, all other appliances would be ok albeit they don’t look very nice aesthetically.

Hi An integrated dishwasher and washing machine don’t go into units, they are fitted between units, or a combination of units and panels. The dish washer will have adjustable legs, so you adjust the legs so the top of the dishwasher is tight under the work top-there are two bracket that you need to initially install so you can attach the dishwasher to the underside of the work top. Do that and the dishwasher will be stabilised As mentioned the door will keep wanting to ping up as you haven’t got the weight on the integrated appliance to hold it down, however the majority of dishwashers allow you to increase or decrease the tension of the appliance door buy turning the screw which are just beneath the door on both sides of the dishwasher. Anticlockwise loosens the spring anti clockwise tightens it. With the washing machine you don’t have to worry about getting it to the underside of the worktop to stop forward tilt or stabilisation when opening door or for it to operate correctly. Washing machines contain ballast( concrete) to stop them moving all over the room when on a spin cycle, so the washing machine is fine, it can be put anywhere as it’s on stable unit. The fridge freeze is a No No as it’s tall and lightweight, if you put heavy items in the door section there’s a possibility of a counterbalance issue as it’s designed to be fixed into a unit. There’s a strong possibility of it toppling over so please don’t attempt it. Thanks Trevor.

The biggest concern is the stabilisation of the units. A free standing version of any appliance is more stable, and also if tou are using a washing machine or dishwasher, think about the pipes how they are going to be connected and where to place them.

Yes it's totally OK to get the integrated appliances until ur ready to fit them into units. Apart from the dishwasher which needs the door for the weight as another app has mentioned before.
