Fitting a pocket door
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.35 PM
I'd like to create a pocket door into the ensuite from the master bedroom, removing the current standard door. It's a stud wall between the two rooms currently and does have the bathroom light switch and a socket on it from the bedroom side. Any advise/info?

Not a big job to move the electrics as long as they are not in the en-suite. If you want the light switch in the en-suite you will need a pull cord. You can buy a pocket door kit using the stud wall you already have.

Good afternoon. For pocket (sliding) door need a special frane with extra room for the door and top rail inside, so in my experience your partition need to rebuild and have a look on the place. Good luck 😉

You will have to remove a larger section of the stud wall to fit the frame work for the pocket door
