Top fixing toilet seat screw indefinitely turning

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 3.02 PM

Hi, I have a toilet with a sealed pan and a loose toilet seat hinge. The type of hinge is a top fix expanding rubber. When attempting to unscrew it does turns but doesn't loosen an inch. Any ideas how I should deal with this type of stuck hinge? Thanks in advance for your reply.

You need to apply a pair of grips onto the hinge and put pressure onto the hinge as though you pulling the hinge out, when you have applied the pressure you will be able to unscrew the screw 😀

Sometimes you can leave the screw partially in and pull it out that way. U could also leave the screw in, put a screwdriver on it and tap the screw carefully with a hammer so it falls through
