So the 5MP ColourVu code is below:- Hikvision DS-2CE72DFT-F 2MP 4in1 ColorVu Turret Camera (Turbo) Does that mean the code for 8MP is: Hikvision 3K fixed lens ColorVu turret camera (DS-2CE72KF3T(2.8MM)) Or is it: DS-2CE72UF3T-E-2.8mm -Hikvision DS-2CE72UF3T-E 4K POC ColorVu Turret Camera (Turbo) Also would it work with the following DVR mode: IDS-7208HTHI-M2/S - HIKVISION IDS-7208HTHI-M2/S(C) 8 channel AcuSense TVI Turbo 5.0 upto 8MP DVR

The HTHI machine has a better frame rate but is more dearer. DS-2CE72UF3T-E(2.8MM) Is the 8mp cameras and will work with the dvr DS-2CE72KF3T(2.8MM) this is a 5mp 3k camera, again no reason why it shouldn’t work. 8mp which is equivalent of 4K is only useful if you have. 4K tv or 4K screen to view it on.

Even if the 4K footage is better even if not viewed on a device capable of making full use of the detail because should it become necessary such as a police enquiry they can use a 4K monitor. Optical focus is far more important to the output. If you digitally zoom in on an image it will get pixilated because it can't add details not captured by the lens. Frame rate is less important most cameras are set to 25fps (frames pers second). The human eye apparently operates at 18fps, so I generally set to 20fps to save power and storage space. In short attach the beat camera you can within budget on critical areas. Lower quality in less vulnerable areas for example the side of a house without doors or windows. So the budget is concentrated on vulnerable items (doors and windows).
