Noisy pipes when water tank filling

Anonymous user 18/02/2024 - 2.30 PM

When the water tank in the attic is filling up the pipes have suddenly become unbearabley noise. The noise sounds like a motor or a drill and lasts for 3/4 minutes after the toilet is flushed. When the noise is stopping it stops for a second and then restarts a few times, almost like it’s stuttering. Any advice? The ball valve was replaced less than two months ago after the tank overflowed.

Hi Water Hammer Arrestors, Check for Loose Pipes, Install Water Hammer Arrestor Valves Remember that noisy pipes can sometimes indicate underlying plumbing issues that need attention. If you're unsure about how to address the problem, or if the noise persists despite trying these solutions, it's best to consult a qualified plumber to avoid potential damage to your plumbing system.
