Where is the toilet tank?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.51 PM

I have a toilet that’s just a handle coming out of the wall. Nothing more to see. There is a panel to the bottom left of the toilet bowl. The handle isn’t flushing, would it be behind this area?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

concealed cistern, the cistern is behind the handle, you will have to take boxing apart unless there are access panels that can be removed.

Hi yes it is a closed water cistern and sounds like one of things one the metal clip has detached from the system or the ball valve is stuck and might need replacing kind regards Paul

That will be a concealed cistern behind the wall, there should be an access panel or the top of the boxing will come off to be able to work on it.

The tank you are referring is also known as the toilet cistern, from your explanation/description yours appears to be a concealed toilet cistern which has been boxed in and tiled over. If installed professionally the installer would have installed it with a removable access panel making that cistern accessible for serviceability purposes so have a look around you might find it. Without having a look at it personally I doubt if any tradesman will be able to tell you where the access panel is.
