Mixing kitchen paint with vinyl matt

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.51 PM

I know it's not ideal, but I would like to lighten my coloured Dulux kitchen paint just slightly. They only sell white kitchen in 2.5.l cans, but I have Crown matt vinyl in white at home. Would it work please? Thank you.

Should be okay depending on ratio.

If both brands are acrylic based and both vinyl then yes you can. Your problem will be if and when you run out as you will not match your one-off mixed paint again; make sure you mix enough and keep some spare for future touch-ups.

If it’s painting the kitchen doors the nether paint is any good if it’s painted the wall and both products are water based then that’s ok mix no more than 5% of the white in to your colour but would try a small amount first
