The best way to fit these is with a qualified electrician. A qualified electrician will have the correct test equipment to identify each conductor and the experience and training to safely and competently get the job done.

Find a local electrician, who would have to test what the cables all do and then put it back correctly

Without trying to sound patronising or implying that you are in some way incompetent, each to their own skillset and all that. If you do not know what the conductors (wires) are called let alone what they do, realistically you should not be touching it. It is dangerous to you and everyone else that could be affected by you lack of knowledge and training. Electricians train for years and build up experience, pay vast amounts of money to stay compliant, constant retraining as things change, such as regulations and new technologies. Electricians are the only mainstream trades that stand in the Dock if something goes wrong, we are fully accountable for our personal actions regardless if you are self employed, fully employed, voluntary, unemployed or retired we are still fully responsible. You would not perform medical surgery unless you were a qualified surgeon would you because that would be riddiculas and unthinkable due to lack of training, experience and qualifications etc.......... what the difference ? Call an electrician.
