Hi you need 3x plasterboards costs around £10 each and Plasterboard Ceiling Perimeter about 8-10 about £4-5 each and some of wall plugs and screws, and maybe some of fixings. So costs for materials is £100 to £150

Hi Karen, if it is just a section damaged and providing the material already there is plasterboard you can cut out and just replace the section and then plaster it. If it is not plasterboard and on lave and plaster you’d be better replacing for a whole new boarded ceiling. Best Regards

Hi Karen, Both previous answers are potentially correct, however, the best answer may come from someone local that can see the room and give you more details. Always ask why any solution is necessary, it may well be possible to complete the job for the cost of materials, but there may also be nasty underlying problems that need to be fixed first. Get some more info and then post again, why the ceiling needs replaced, what's underneath, maybe some photos. That'll make your quotes a lot cheaper. Good luck and all the best

Depending on the scale on the damage depends on what your best option . If it's only a smallish area then that could be cut out and repaired with a sheet of plasterboard cut down to size and secured , then for a professional finish have the ceiling skimmed over with plaster .
