Where to order and install a window for an interior wall (space already cut out)
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.07 PM
Hello, We had a stud wall put in our front entryway and a large hole cut out for a window to be installed. However, we are now having a great deal of trouble sourcing someone that will make and fit the window. We were hoping to use wood, have obscure glass, and have it paned. Any tips and help are welcome! Thank you

A joinery company or a local double glazing specialist should be able to do this for you no problem. I usually do my internal windows with a upvc frame. Just because they can be bought relatively cheaply and dont ever need painted. But it could also be done by buying the glass and making the frame up in white pine or mdf to be painted. Can the joiner that done the wall not do it?

To be fair the answer is not a wrong answer but with my carpentry based opinion, I would say that to make up a window on site with timber should be an easy undertaking. As with everything my opinion is based on the limited information provided and obviously would need to be seen first hand. My opinion is not meant to undermine anyone and is just am opinion
