Electrolux oven hob not heating - clicking sound

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.53 PM

Hello, 2 of the hobs of my electrolux stopped working. When I try to turn them on, they make a clicking sound as they would normally, but no heat comes on. The clicking sound can be heard 3 times (few seconds interval) and then it stops. The 2 other hobs work find (for now)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It sounds like the either straight or coiled elements in the hob have either fused or burnt out.

if they make a clicking sound this would most likely be an induction hob. There will be some form of message or indication in the control panel, eg pan not detected or a fault code flashing E then some error code number or something similar. If you are using the correct induction pans, then you will be looking at a failed pcb, which may have been caused by a failed induction pod. Induction is expensive to repair. If this is a standalone integrated hob and not part of a free standing cooker, it is probably not worth pursuing a repair
