Buy them and have them installed by a professional company, don’t buy cheap off the internet it’s a waste of money in the long term

As you could imagine, there is an endless number of security cameras that can be bought online or in the shops. Most of these cameras aren't the best quality in build or picture, of course you can buy WIFI cameras from a shop like 'Currys' or off 'Amazon' but i do strongly suggest getting a reputable CCTV engineer to supply and fit cameras that are only available to Trade customers.

The best place to buy them if you want good ones is through your installer. They will recommend and supply the best camera for your situation.

Commercial or domestic use? Arlo is a great system for domestic applications. Google options dependant on your needs, there is no one size fits all solution 👍🏻

We get our professional grade cameras from Alltrade and they won’t sell to the public. Do not buy Swann. They are not good value for money and will let you down when you need them the most. Don’t compromise on price when it comes to security, you are flushing your money down the toilet.

This will depend on how many cameras and what your budget is

There is no such place. Customers make the mistake of thinking all cameras are the same. That ends in a buying cheap and disappointment. So the process should start with defining what you want from the camera. Then choosing a camera that best fits within the budget. That takes experience and knowledge of the market.

Best place to buy from is an installer that buys from an approved distributor. Usually hikvision is trade so any installer who buys from approved distributor from the hik website is generally OK. Any DIY cameras then screwfix or costco etc.

When it comes to security what matters most? The market is flooded with countless security cameras, but not all are created equal. While you might find Wi-Fi cameras at your local electronics store or on e-commerce giants like Amazon, investing in the absolute best for your peace of mind requires a different approach. I highly recommend steering clear of the ordinary and opting for an extraordinary solution – enlist the expertise of a reputable CCTV engineer. These professionals don't just supply and fit cameras; they deliver peace of mind. Unlike off-the-shelf options, they provide access to exclusive, top-tier CCTV systems typically reserved for trade customers. Remember, safeguarding your space goes beyond a simple purchase; it's about tailored solutions and unmatched quality. Elevate your security standards – go beyond the ordinary, choose a CCTV engineer for a surveillance experience that stands head and shoulders above the rest. As others have already stated HikVision hardware is now the industry standard however Approved Suppliers also have their compatible in-house products available at very competitive prices. If you need any further advice I am happy to assist. Best Wishes John
