Mira sprint shower fault
Anonymous user 11/03/2024 - 2.30 PM
Hi all, Our Mira Sprint shower has started cutting on and off today. It will work normally for 3-4 minutes and then cut off, it will then switch on and off every 30seconds to 1 minute. The light is always on throughout on both shower and switch. I’ve tried removing the shower head, and then the hose, shower still cuts out so can’t be a blockage. Anyone know what the issue will likely be?

Hard to say the reason for that
My suggestion is to find a person to change it with a new one cheaper to replace instead of trying to repair

Based on the information you provided, it seems like there may be a problem with the electrical connection or the heating element in your Mira Sprint shower. Here are a few possible causes for the issue you're experiencing:
Water pressure: Low water pressure can cause the shower to cut off intermittently. Check if there are any issues with the water supply or if there's a blockage in the water pipes leading to the shower.
Electrical fault: There might be an electrical fault in the shower unit itself. Over time, electrical connections can become loose or damaged, leading to intermittent power supply. You may need to have an electrician inspect the shower unit and fix any wiring issues.
Heating element: The heating element inside the shower unit could be malfunctioning. If the water isn't reaching the desired temperature, it can cause the shower to turn off and on repeatedly. A faulty heating element might require replacement.
Temperature sensor: Some showers have a built-in temperature sensor to regulate the water temperature. If the sensor is faulty, it could be incorrectly detecting the water temperature, causing the shower to turn off and on unexpectedly.
Given the complexity of the issue and the potential risks associated with electrical and water systems, it is advisable to contact a professional plumber or the manufacturer's customer support to diagnose and resolve the problem. They will have the expertise and knowledge to provide a more accurate assessment and guide you through the necessary repairs or troubleshooting steps.
