Bathroom Fitting

Shower tray flush to bathtub

Anonymous user 11/03/2024 - 2.30 PM

Hi, We've got a 1.6m by 3.2m bathroom and would like to make the most of it by having the bath and shower next to each other in the Japanese style, like the 4th picture here: https://www.rubensteinsupply.com/trend-alert-8-narrow-bathrooms-that-rock-tubs-in-the-shower/ We'd like to avoid creating a wet room though, and were wondering if the look could be created with a shower tray fixed flush to a tiled bath panel, with a glass panel on the side furthest from the bath. Do you think this could be possible? Thanks :)

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Anything can be done but I'd say there is a very high risk of water ingress and you'll end up having issues later on.

Easily done, some tanking to the walls and floor and around bathpanel prior to installation of the tray and you'll be fine. I've done it a couple times and never had an issue
