Carpet tape on laminate?

I want to put a long door mat down on my laminate floor to hide some of the damage Is carpet tape suitable?

Lots of brands supply double sided tape. In my home, we have Velcro strips which work well on laminate also.

Just put double side tape under the carpate so it dose not move an it’s easy to remove

As someone else said.. Velcro is the better option.. double sided tape is my less preferred option but would work fine
