Disposal of insulated plasterboard

Anonymous user 04/08/2026 - 3.29 PM

Hi does anyone know how to dispose of used kingspan type insulated plasterboard off an internal wall. Could anyone recommend any companies who deal with this type of waste in the west midlands/Derby or nationwide please?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You can't put plaster board in skips anymore, I use my local waste site which min changes are per a tonne. You need a waste licence to do this.

You can take it to your local recycling centre but be warned it is expensive to get rid of

Hi if you contact a local skip companies and tell them what you have, some skip companies will supply a skip for this type of waste and charge you for this type of waste.

Insulated plasterboard should be kept separate from general building waste. Contact a licensed waste carrier or recycling facility that accepts gypsum and insulation-backed boards, as not every site accepts them. Confirm acceptance and any charges before arranging collection.
