Replacing 2 x old 2.8kw ovens with 2 x 3.4kw ovens
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 3.01 PM
Hello, I'm looking to replace the old ovens in my flat that are around 20 years old. Both these ovens are rated at 2.8kw Currently there is a single oven circuit 6mm2 cable with a 32A breaker, with both ovens terminated on fused 13A plugs in a standard wall socket. After testing nothing other than this socket is on the oven circuit. Obviously the new ovens, both rated at 16A (3.1kw and 3.45kw) will need to be hard wired with oven switches. D My question is; can both these ovens be safely installed on the 32A oven circuit, or do I need separate circuits/breakers for each oven? Thanks
