How do you angle cut 100mm coving?

My house has pre-existing 100mm coving and I've made some adjustments to one bit of wall which means I'll need to re-lay coving there. Every tool I find or tutorial online on how to cut 45-degree angles seems to only cater for 127mm coving or occasionally 90mm. How do you traders handle 100mm? B&Q stock it so it can't be a particularly special size.

Hi there
Use a mitre block do the best you can and then put filler in using the back of a teaspoon for the angle and sand it down with a fine sandpaper you will need to this a few times to get the result you want

Places like B&Q and Wickes should have a secial (cheap) tool that you can use as a guide. I think they are suitable for different sizes but not 100% sure on that.
You can also buy pre cut corner pieces in various sizes so you may be able to make use of those and then cut the straigh sections to fit.

The technique for all sizes is essentially the same - but requires precise measurements and care. Both plaster and lightweight polystyrene 100mm coving can be cut using a mitre block of at least 100mm and fine saw at the appropriate 45 degree angle. Drawing out exactly what you need to do might help you to visualise whether you're cutting the right way. Apply those techniques you've already found to your size of material - it shouldn't vary in this case.
