Windows & Door fitting

Can you fit a wooden door & frame to a brick and UPVC Conservatory?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.52 PM

I currently have a dwarf wall and upvc conservatory. The door needs replacing and I was wondering how possible it would be to replace both the door and the frame with wooden ones. This would mean fixing the wooden door frame to the upvc window frame. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

of course you can i been to lots of upvc and wood mixes just make sure or try to that frame are same thickness but personally i would not do this as its probably just about same price for upvc or wood. what ever you decide remember upvc dont need mush maintenace the wooden section would. hope this helps

Yes it's fine as long as the joint between timber and upvc is cocealed with a upvc trim.
