How can a 1970s flat asphalt roofed garage be made less hot and humid for tool storage?

Anonymous user 16/03/2024 - 2.51 PM

I own a garage that’s in the middle of a block. It gets quite hot and humid, which I assume is because it has no ventilation or insulation. I can’t see any signs of damp. I’d like to improve its climate so tools and a car can be stored without worry of rust. What are my options? Some things I’ve considered: - Install a turbine vent “whirlybird” on the roof. - Install air bricks or core drill for vents at the rear - Fit vents in the garage door - Insulate the roof and rear wall with some kind of insulation board such as Kingspan or Celotex Thanks
