Buying Howdens units on sale

Hi, I’ve requested a quote on a kitchen range that I like but am told it is due to be discontinued and will replaced with a similar range later this year. The bonus is that the range to be discontinued is at a reduced rate, but I’m unsure whether to still go with this? I’m told the guarantee would still apply. The replacement range looks pretty much the same (to me anyway) and am told the quality is the same, so I figured I might as well stick with my original choice and save on some costs. Is this a gamble? What else do I need to factor in? Thanks!

I don't think it's a gamble, the only risk is if you decided to change on of the units. For example if you decided to change a base unit for a drawer, it would be difficult to find an exact match. The carcasses are all the same but once the range is discontinued matching anything will be a challenge further down the line. You can always ask to see a sample of the two together to compare.

Hi there I’m a quilfied carpenter that shops of howdens quite offen, what Ever you get will be a like for like and they are built to last.

Kitchen companies are always changing their ranges but the cabinets stay the same.
My advice would be to make sure you get everything you need on your order. If they don't have it in stock at the time of ordering then don't gamble hoping they will get hold of it.
The new range maybe similar but won't be the same. Kitchens are designed to last year's so as long as you get the complete order you will be safe.
If after a few years you have general wear and tear on doors you can always replace the doors. The cabinets will stay the same and last for 10+ years. Howdens are good quality.
