Whatever happened with the first builder you have to sort this out before you get someone else as you’re finished with the first builder turn off. Do you get the other builder and then you get the bill right you won’t be charged twice and the bill go to high. Thank you

If he has had to change the size of the opening then yes it's chargeable, he is doing more work which someone has to pay for. While he. Should have informed you the cost,if he had he stopped the job without doing your new door you would might not be happy there. This is really something that should have been fixed out prior to the job starting. In reality both parties need to communicate fully, for example, informing the builder that you were going with a different door company and the changing the sizes.

If you get the chance at the start you should. And if there any serious expenses along the way you should immediately let the client know and come to and agreement.
