Painting MDF skirting boards

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.52 PM

I have painted my MDF skirting boards using Dulux wood and metal primer/undercoat. Should I now over paint with MDF undercoat before the top coat?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If you've already used the Dulux undercoat and it looks ok then just give it a light sand and get on with the top coats. If it was bare MDF that primer probably wasn't the best one to use but if it looks ok and doesn't scratch off then just go with it.

Always prime MDF first. Then apply 2 undercoats and 2 top coats, sanding in between each coat for the best result 👍🏼
