Does a solar power inverter have a cooling fan?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.52 PM
Solar panels were recently installed on the roof of the adjoining bungalow. They run alongside my home. Ever since then I have a constant hum in my home, at times it becomes very loud, it is intrusive. I did some research and it appeared the inverter may be the source. The Company involved finally sent the electrician to check it. I won't go into details only say that he was dismissive, wouldn't listen to anything. As an almost 80 year old woman trying to get the issue resolved I found him very intimidating. He said the problem wasn't the inverter because it doesn't have a fan so it couldn't make a noise like I was describing. I was under the impression some form of fan is needed for cooling down. Please could somebody tell me if there is a fan or not? Thank you.
