A plume kit will direct combustion products and condense plumes away from your neighbour's garden. It will run up to a height that the plume will not be a nuisance. It is around the size of a gutter downpipe, so it is not obtrusive.

The answer is slightly more complicated than that. A plume kit will do the job but there are clearances from the neighbors boundary that should be kept to. Installers sometime get away with this because it never gets seen your neighbor may not mind people assume that's what's done. But if the flue is to regulation and it plumes in to your neighbors garden that is fine as long as your neighbor doesn't feel it's a nuisance sometimes adding a plume kit gets rid of the nuisance factor. I hope that make sense

A plume kit is used for nuisance which in your case is ideal. The plume is causing a nuisance to your neighbour. However your installer does need to check the manufacturers clearances to a neighbouring property and make sure these are met.
