New Leaking shower valve

Just self installed a traditional shower valve. One were the hot and cold entry’s swivel for bottom or back entry. It is leaking from where it swivels inside the valve body. Not where the compressions are. Is it faulty or have I don’t something wrong?

Sounds like the tail inside the body has unwound , if you remove shower again and look into the body through the water inlets you should find an hex head which you can wind back in , if not then send it back
