What to put up in place of coving

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.34 PM

I’ve taken out some old fitted wardrobes. And obviously there is no coving on that one wall. As the rest of the coving is quite detailed I’m having trouble matching it up. I quite like the style so was trying to think of other things that could hang there instead but minds gone blank. And could do without the expense of renewing it all

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, if you can cut a small sample from another wall and take it to a decorative moulding firm in your area they may be able to match it up for you better than a DIY superstore can. They may well have been asked this before so will have the knowledge and moulding for your property.

I would personally have some of the coving made up, if it’s detailed and a small area there is company’s out there who can do an exact replica of your original coving and one painted will still look like the original. And with it been a small area it won’t cost to much. I had some done for an office that had water damage and it look fantastic once we had finished painting and just look like the original.
