replacing tiles

Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.34 PM

I have vertical hanging tiles on the front, side and rear facade of my property that I would like to change to diffrent type of cladding. I saw some horizontal boards on other housesg and just wandering what is the best and cheapes option to consider. The area to replace is probably 20sqm at each side. Thanks for any suggestions.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

The cladding that goes on the gable ends or the sides of the houses is called free foam cladding. It comes in several different colours. If you would like a price please send some photos and I will give you a free quotation.

There is a multitude of products on the market. They all have different levels of quality and how long they will last. You could use timber,WPC, concrete, upvc or composite the best of the composite is Millboard. It’s best to base it on how long you want it to look good for. They take a lot of wear from the elements and not all can stand the test of time. A cheap fix isn’t always the best solution in the long run.

Free foam cladding is both a cheap and great quality option, it’s the same material as the plastic/foam facia and soffit most people use nowadays. Easy to install.
