Looking for a rough quote range for a sandstone repair job.

Hi, we have an outside side wall built from sandstone. The sandstone is weathered, in some places fairly badly, and a previous occupant attempted to repair the joins using concrete. As a result, there's moisture trapped in the wall and it's starting to show on the inside of the house. We had some advice from a builder (here for kitchen) that the concrete needs removed, the stone repaired, and lime mortar applied.
We're looking to budget for the next few years: what price range we should expect for this kind of work? It's a semi detached house - two storeys, 3 beds.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
Depends how much is damaged how badly damaged the sandstone is and how much work is involved, also giving an idea of price for something that's going to happen in a few year time in current conditions is crazy in the past couple of years prices have doubled basically how long is a piece of string without looking your picking prices out the air you need someone to view the job then give an idea.
Good luck Alex
Yep I agree the concrete\cement needs to come out it will hold water because the joint can't breathe yep you need to have it repointed in lime as for cost depends on size of affected area there are firms that specialise in lime work but this would be costly because of there overheads you better with a mason and labourer setup although if you wanted to really keep the cost down some company's will do a pointing course you will need scaffolding that ain't cheap cause you rent it lime is hazadous so if you do it yourself wear a mask and goggles especially when mixing up a good tradesman the bill will run into several thousand I expect with scaffolding and materials then labour on top good luck don't take cheapest quote isn't always the best and do research on who you choose if they nothing to hide they won't mind lot of cowboys out there especially with lime work it's a trade on its own really good luck
Alex is right, a job needs to be looked at in person before any pricing can be done. But expect to pay at least 200 a day for a proper mason's labour.
But yes, a natural stone wall should be pointed with lime mortar, not concrete.
