Replaced a radiator and now none heat up!
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.07 PM
The radiator valves were isolated before the new rad was added. The boiler is an Ideal Logic combi ESP1 35. When new rad was in place I op Ned both valves and bled radiator, I had to top up pressure a few times in the process. Once complete and heating turned on I had no heat to any radiator. Thanks.

You have more than likely got air inthe system, turn the boiler off so that the pump is Not on and then bleed the radiators from ground level to the highest rad I.e. the ladder rad, and then turn the boiler on, I hope that sorts the issue out

When you remove the radiator you’re removing water from the system and adding air from the empty radiator. You need to bleed out the air and top up the pressure on your boiler.

This is and interesting one, did you drain the heating system entirely when the radiator was replaced or was it a like for like swap via isolating the radiator valves,
You should Check that your circulation pump is spinning for the heating you can do this by; putting a screwdriver to the bleed screw and listening at the handle end you can hear if the impeller is spinning, this is easier then removing the bleed screw.
