Does the plumber need to produce a p certificate

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 4.07 PM

We've just a bathroom installation with an electric shower like-for-like replacement. Does the contractor need to provide a P certificate?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, if the electrics were already their, and the electric shower was just a swap, then no, you do not need to be part P qualified. Part P is only necessary when it’s a new instal and new cable, or re location of the cables.
