Constant popping noise from the ceiling in 6am

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.52 PM

##Constant popping noise from the ceiling at 6am I've just moved into a new-built with solar panels. Every morning around 6am, I can hear popping noise from ceiling, same pattern every day for 20-30 mins, no tap/heating is on, not even scheduled to be turned on. I understand that for new-built you would hear random cracking/ popping noise coz of the heat, I hear them throughout the day. However, the noise starts from 6am has its own constant rhythm. Builders have checked attic & roof but said nothing is wrong. Now they don't even know what to do/ check next. Can someone offer some advice please ? Many thanks.

If your house is built on an old burial ground then it may be a poltergeist. if you are hearing the snap and the crackle before you go to bed then you will get the pop in the morning around breakfast time. Could be a pigeon with a new drum kit But seriously it's most likely the expansion of your gutters and they are clicking against the clips. Hope this helps

Definitely go with ghosts... Get the ouiji board out and talk! If the sun directly hits plastics uPVC after a cold night. The guttering will expand after being contracted and create said sounds. See if the time changes as seasons change. That area will most likely need repairing first if any in some years to come.

Plastics moving either fascia’s or the gutters best I can come up with unless you have birds under the tiles

I agree with the above answer. Sounds like a pigeon with a new drum kit.
