Hanging a bathroom cabinet on a half tiled wall
Anonymous user 09/03/2024 - 3.33 PM
Hi I am trying to hang a long bathroom cabinet on a half-tiled wall. The top of the cabinet needs to be adjusted so that it sits 1cm away from the wall to accommodate the depth of the bottom tiled wall. I thought the screws which slot over the wall fixings could be adjusted but they only come out so far and the cabinet still hangs slanted. The cabinet has a recess of 1.8cm at the back.` Any ideas please?

Scribe the bottom half over tiles so unit sits against top half of wall

You can buy plastic packers from Screwfix they come in a bag if several thickness and are slotted so can fit over fixing screws to space the top fixings further from the wall
Using screws that are long enough to account for the Recess in the cabinet.
