Connect waste water pipe to soil pipe from shower, basin and toilet

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.51 PM

Hi experts. I have a soil pipe and cold water feed ready to be plumbed together. So the cold pipe to feed the basin, shower and toilet. The cold feed to plumb through 10.8MW electric shower and separate similar sink electric to convert to hot water. Then the soil pipe to be connected to toilet. What is the best way to do this? 1. Can I connect shower waste pipe and basin waste pipe to spoil pipe in the room? or is its better to be separate? Or fit basin waste to soil pipe in room and have a separate waste to outside soil pipe as of gravity? 2. What's the best heating approach of the cold water? Thank you

If you have a good enough run on the waste pipe then it's OK to tee off for multiple wastes. Just make sure the basin waste is not tee'd too close to shower waste. Ideally if you have access to soil pipe then plumbing 2 separate wastes is the ideal way. For water supply make sure its a mains cold water for feed for shower. Hot water supply to basin etc is taken from whatever hot water system you have.

You can connect the waste pipes into the soil pipe but only if the point of connection is lower than the basin and shower your connecting to otherwise water will sit in the pipes and might start to smell. Standing water stagnates does not smell nice in your home.

Best to run wastes separately into soil stack if possible
