Builders trasspassing and damaging my house on purpose

Here's my issue. My neighbours has hired some builders to built a pathway on the side of the house. Those builders have noticed a damage to the fence and then tried to fix it by fixing a pole going from our house into the fence . They have jumped over said fence into our garden and started drilling holes into our house without permission (no mention, no knock on the door) when asked why they didn't knock, they said they thought nobody was home. What do I do. I have two deep holes in the side of my house and mental damage 😅
Sts answer - they didn't give any reason. Just started drilling into my house to my suprise. Fence was not in any danger of falling, the flag was slightly damaged, which could potentially cause further damage in future i suppose. Shall I make a claim though for two holes in my house? I feel like a Karen. But then again trasspassing and damage, so I have no idea how to go about it. It'll take some polyfill to fix 😅
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?
Did they give a reason for what they had planned on doing? Also was there any immediate danger for the fence of falling and causing further damage or harm? This is the only reason I can think of for not asking permission.
If the answers are no then no builder should enter your boundary without consent let alone start any works causing damages to your property.
Respectfully ask them for their company details and insurance policy in case you need to make a claim.
doesn't matter if there was any danger - they should have delayed the job until spoken with correct parties to have the issue resolved before putting themselves in danger (if any danger existed) no one is allowed to enter your boundaries without consent and especially use power tools on your property without the risk assessments and method statements before hand.
definitely complain and get all their details because what they did is 100% illegal. don't stand for it! we are a company that would never do something so stupid like this. you're not a Karen, you are protecting what is yours - 2 holes in the wrong place can cause much more damage!
Agree with other comments.
We would never go onto a neighbours property without consent let alone drill holes into the wall. They could have hit anything.
Speak to the neighbours and builder. No body wants bad press and it's important to a small business to keep customers and neighbours happy, but sometimes these situations happen. Give the builder a chance to carry out the repair works.
(Not at your expense). Make sure (politely) the neighbour know not to allow anything like this to happen again. Going down the legal route will be a protracted matter for all involved.
