I then realised the was to much slack on the cable so I turned of the power from the consumer unit then as I go to remove the cylinder cover, and reduce and neaten the cables, I take a step back and the mounting hook failed and the 3-4 kg light fixture came down pulling the wiring piece that joins the celling wires and the light, luckily the large box was underneath, fortunately no visual damage on the fixture, but when I did the exact same thing as before in terms of wiring up, the light are not turn on . Any suggestions would greatly be helpful Thanks Thanks S Shaw for your answer But yes I have the knowledge to be able to wire up a fixture, and I have used Wago connector to safely connect and organise the wring, I identified the switch live, which has on a two way connector for which the second slot will be used for the live in from the light I also have a three way connector of which has two neutral with the third slot used for the neutral coming from the light, The fixture is double insulated so no Earth is required so it is connected with wago connector I do have a multimeter as well as a voltage tester flat head. Again any suggestion that would help identity where I maybe going wrong Would be greatly appreciated Thanks It was a lose connection from one of the three lives (red) Worked fine thanks
