Changing fluorescent tubes to normal pendant lights

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 3.00 PM

When I moved into my house the kitchen had two pendant lights normal bulbs. We changed them to two 4ft fluorescent ceiling fitted tubes. Now I want to go back to pendant as before (it has been 20 years). How do I do it, specifically the wiring bit.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

This one is simple - If you have to ask, you need an electrician. It is that simple, the regulations require a competent person - one that has to ask falls outside this remit. No niceties required for this one its a matter of ability - oh and do not follow the answer that talks about wiring colors above, it is in no way a complete answer, and you may well end up making a mess of what you are dealing with (this is very common, 'oh I had a go but now...') hope this doesn't infuriate you too much - but you did ask.

Electrical work should not be undertaken unless the person is competent (trained/experienced) to do so. I would advise hiring a qualified electrician.
