Concerting half of Balcony into a TOilet/Shower room
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 3.00 PM
Hi, Wanted to check if planning permission is needed to convert nearly half of the balcony (2.5 meters by 4 meters) to 2.5m X 1.5m toilet/shower which is towards the rear of a detached house into an enclosed shower/toilet connecting to the balcony room as an en-suite. The current balcony is facing the garden and does not overlook any neighbours as its a detached property and independent house with tall hedges/ trees in garden. Any input will be helpful. Thank you.

Hello, You do not need planning permission, but will require building regs.

Hi,
You don't need any planning permissions as long as its private house.
Good luck.
