Porch encroaching boundary and attached to wall.

My neighbour has built a porch that is encroaching onto my boundary and is attached to a party wall. I am an end terrace house and my house portrudes out around a meter more than their house. The porch has been attached to the side of this meter section and also a few inches onto the frontage of my property. The porch itself comes out further than my property also, I am unsure if this is an issue or again in line with building regulations. Is this allowed? Would this be in line with building regulation approvals. I haven't been served with any notice of work or asked to sign a party wall agreement either. Can anyone advise on if this is allowed and what I should do next. Any advise would be really appreciated.

Hi,more than a building regs issue, this is a planning issue and one for a solicitor! I suggest you first contact the local planning dept, znd then, perhaps, a solicitor! Good luck

Definitely for solicitors as there is a red line boundary with land registry. They can not go on to your land or even have facsia go over your land. Planning would only be effected if they deveated from the plans they registered. If they even registered with planning.

Just like the first answer I agree but the party wall agreement should have been sorted out first before any work started ,do not sign anything till you are happy .

Anything forward of the front building line of their original house needs planning permission, if planning permission was sought you would have received a letter from the council, as would other neighbours, also the partition wall act would need to be actioned, do more than likely this porch is illegal,
