Can a faulty wire/bulb trip fusebox, even if the light switch for those wire/bulbs are off?

Is it possible for a faulty wire or bulb to trip the electric fuse box, even if the light switch for those wire/bulbs are off?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

It is commmon for a 6A mcb or RCBO to trip when a tungsten filament lamp blows, less so with LED lamps. Is that what you meant?

The lightswitch only isolates the 'live' conductor, and a fault can also be in the neutral or earth conductor. So yes, it is possible and that would trip the RCD unit within you fusebox. Hope that helps.
