Is my roof up to the job?

**Long post but please help** I’ve recently had a garage extension done...slab was laid 14th Nov and the roofer came on the 8th Dec. The wood for the roof was put up on the 6th. I supplied the materials and the roofer obviously saw them before starting. On the morning arrived (around 0945 as was at a hospital app) it had been lightly snowing and it was cold. It was still snowing when they arrived and we gave it half an hour/45 minutes then stopped so said he'd get cracking. He got going around 1030. Done and away by 1400, didn’t stop for breaks. I was charged his day rate. 17th Dec. Had some more snow and the boards inside and the joists were soaking wet. Got in touch with the roofer and he said it would be condensation. Whilst on the phone about it he said the felt I'd got was 'crap' and was a lot thinner than the stuff he normally used. Between Christmas and New Year, heavy rain and I could almost splash around inside. Agreed to come on the 6/1. Came up and again saying it was condensation due to the slab drying out but the joists and boards in certain places were still really wet. Went up and put some patches on where the boards/joists were still really wet. He also did a water test but no running water coming in. I suggested that it probably wouldn't pour in due to it getting to the 18mm Sterling board and then travelling so unless it was a clear gap then it wouldn't drip like a tap? By the 12/1 still water is getting in. Sent some more pics said he'd be up and came back on the 16th. Couldn't understand why it was still leaking but was still insisting there was condensation going on too. Did a few more patches/reinforcement to hopefully sort it but he was at a loss as to what it would be as he couldn't see it getting through 2 layers. 18/1 and it's still leaking. Sent some pictures and he asked me to do a water test on it. Ventured up onto the roof and gently watered my roof for about half an hour. Sent pictures, you could see the damp patches when they weren't there half an hour prior. Again...condensation but he had no idea how or where it was leaking from. Whilst up on the roof I found an air pocket which I could move up and down and he had no real explanation to this. Only solution he came up with was to felt over the top of the existing with new felt. I would have to pay for the materials and gas and he would not charge me his time. Someone came and took a look and they have spotted a few things. They have suggested the best way would be to do it again from scratch. What would you do? What is your opinion? Am I asking too much for a water tight roof? Should I just let the guy back to felt on top of the current roof and pay the materials again? Do I have a right to get my money back? Do I just chalk the whole thing up as experience and get someone else in and do it all again? I am aware the roofer who fitted it is on here, I have to say I didn't get hire him through here, so he might see this. Thanks
