Leaking pipe from upstairs flat

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 3.00 PM

Every time the tenants from upstairs use the shower/bath water comes down my wall and is also affecting the flooring. The owner has known about this since last year and will not get this sorted. Any advice on what I can do please

you need to contact the landlord of the upstairs property to get the leak repaired preferably in writing also any damage this has caused to your property is there responsibility, you can contact your local council who usually have an enforcement officer in there housing department dealing with rogue landlords. you should also contact your insurance company to make them aware of the situation providing he has insurance they may also be able to help get repairs done through there insurance. good luck Alex

The neighbor bathroom waste pipe it’s licking , you need to tell them to open the bath panel and have a look at it and fix it , otherwise your ceiling will collapse in time

Not necessarily waste pipe like previous guy said. Could be seals, the trap, or even the bath waste. Possibly even overflow leaking when in use, but regardless, get a professional to test and see what the issue is.

Advice occupants that’s it’s leaking into your place of home, there must be a issue with the drainage on they’re property hence why it’s only leaking whilst they’re using
