Should I be able to hear it when upstairs empty their bath?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.51 PM
I live on the ground floor and upstairs is an identical flat, which means that the family bathrooms are identical and stacked one above the other. Yesterday I put the TV on mute and was surprised to hear loud sounds of water flowing, which I realised was coming from my bathroom via the drain and, was caused by the flat upstairs emptying their bath. Should I be able to hear this, and so loud? Should I worry that this might mean a future problem where the water follows the sound? The response from Pontypool makes sense, but I should have made it clear that the sound was coming from the open plughole in my bath and was rushing water (exactly like a tap full on) - my concern is that some kind of back flow could be possible, or perhaps a leak might be caused Incidentally, have you seen the film Pontypool? if not, you might like to
