Is planning permission required to extend brickwork under a floating bay window?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.50 PM

We currently have two floating bay windows at the front of our property where the external wall runs in line with our house. To create additional space within the connected rooms, we are interested in pushing out the brickwork so that this runs underneath the windows (effectively meaning the bay windows will no longer be floating) so we have additional space. As this is a replacement of the existing bay windows, I wasn't clear whether planning permission would be required to move the external wall underneath. Has anyone encountered something similar and can share their experience?
