What can I layer over step flashing that will overlap roof tiles and help prevent leaks?

Hi, I am a DIYer and looking for a quick fix ideally! I have step flashing on my roof but it doesn't overlap and lay on top of the roof tiles. Is there anything I can layer over the current step flashing that can then overlap the tiles? I think I have a leak and would like to seal any gaps between the step flashing and tiles. Honest answer is not to. Unless a temporaryfix. If you havea leak thendon'tcover the problem. Either find a particular point of ingressand address or replace step flashing. I don'tbelieve in lead on top oftiles. Secretgutter. Done right. Is solution

Can't tell for sure from the picture but it doesn't look like you've got any soakers. As your roof covering seems to be either natural or man-made slate it will need stripping back along the abutment and individual soakers fitted to each row of slate.

There must be some form of soakers under the flashing otherwise you would have been in trouble long ago. Get it renewed properly sir or you will forever be tinkering with it. It's not that expensive a job.
