What trade is best to ask about creating a toilet under the stairs
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 3.50 PM
We want to have one out in but not sure which trader to ask - Bathroom fitter? Builder? Plumber? Also, we have our electric consumer unit in that same space. Can you still install a water closet in there if that unit occupies the same space? Many thanks

Officially a plumber for the toilet and then electrian for the consumer unit. Some handyman can do both.
They can both coexist (toilet and comsumer unit)long as there is plenty of room between them.

A plumber would be the best place to start or someone who specialises in fitting bathrooms.

Defo a plumber for the fixings and a electrician if you want the consumer unit moved but if you only want it boxed in then a good plumber will do the hole thing for you.
